What this service actually involves.
Your visit begins with a review of dental history and any changes since your last appointment. We document pocket depths, check for early signs of decay, and look over x-rays or scans on file.
The cleaning itself is gentle and thorough — ultrasonic scaling to lift tartar, careful hand-scaling for detail work, and a polish to finish. We use fluoride varnish for most adults and sealants for younger patients who want the extra protection.
Before you leave, we talk through what we found, what to keep an eye on, and whether anything warrants a follow-up. If it’s all clear, we book you in for next time and send you on your way.

We go through your history and ask about anything new — sensitivity, soreness, changes since last time.

Exam & imaging
Visual exam, gum measurements, and x-rays if they’re due. We explain why, not just that.

Gentle cleaning
Ultrasonic and hand scaling, then a polish. We pace to your comfort — pauses are always fine.
